Clinics can take place before, during or after school hours.
FOLLOWING ARE SIX DIFFERENT CLINIC OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM:
1.) 1-HOUR INTRODUCTION TO KICKING CLINIC: where participants learn 5 Basic Kicks to control a hand-woven ball without using hands or arms, and try a few ‘Kickers Rock Challenges’ (i.e. Consecutive Kicks, Target Kick, Circle Game, Trick Kicks, Wall-Run Sepak Takraw, etc.) for which winners could get a prize such as a Takraw ball, t-shirt, poster, Takraw key chain, etc.
2.) 1-HOUR INTRODUCTION TO SEPAK TAKRAW CLINIC: where participants are divided up into teams and are taught the net game (Sepak Takraw) skills and strategies, putting their newly learned kicking skills to use over a net in a team sport (from modified versions at first, to the actual game).
3.) 2-HR. COMBINATION CLINIC: combining 1.) & 2.) above.
4.) 1-HOUR QUICK KICKING/SEPAK TAKRAW CLINIC: where participants quickly learn the kicking skills and move right into a modified net game (without doing Challenges, etc.).
5.) HALF-DAY KICKING/SEPAK TAKRAW CLINIC: combining 1.) & 2.) above, PLUS spend more time going through some drills that will develop specific skills for the positions played in the net game (i.e., serving, setting, spiking, blocking).
6.) FULL-DAY KICKING/SEPAK TAKRAW CLINIC (weekend): same as 5.) above, PLUS spend extra time developing game skills and strategies, PLUS make up teams and have a mini Sepak Takraw Tournament.

STEPS TO SECURE YOUR SEPAK TAKRAW CLINICS, EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS:
Step 1:
Create interest in learning/playing Sepak Takraw in your school/community by introducing the sport to them using the below linked POSTER and VIDEO CLIPS:
Benefits of Sepak Takraw ACTION POSTER;
Video Clip of rallies from a Junior Final’s match, Candian Open, SK vs. ON (playing at a level your students could easily achieve);
Video Clip of rallies from the World Championships, Malaysia vs. Thailand, the best of the best!
Step 2:
School/Group downloads and fills in a STAS Club Membership Form andand sends it to STAS office with a cheque for $50 (first-time Club Membership), or $25 (uninterrupted Renewal of Club Membership). Membership is good till the end of the year.
Step 3:
Book dates/times for your Skills Clinic(s), Coach Clinic, Referee Course & after school Mini Tournament, which you get along with a set of Takraw Balls and Instructional Materials … at a 20% discount! If your community is located quite a far distance from Regina, first contact neighboring schools/communities that may be interested in also developing the sport with you so the mileage cost can be shared, and it would provide another school close by that your teams could play against.
Step 4:
After hosting clinics, use materials and equipment aquired by the school/community and facilitate a Before or After School Sepak Takraw Program where interested students can continue playing and keeping active. Form teams from among the participants that can play against each other and teams from other programs. They may easily find themselves going to district or provincial championships, especially since games are modified at the Co-ed Youth Division to make playing much easier (i.e., allow bounces and don’t count the number of hits per side, to name a couple of the main ones).
Step 5:
At the close of your local Before/After School Sepak Takraw Program, email/fax in a brief report to the STAS Office and attach a few digital pictures that may potentially be posted on STAS’s web site and/or face book page.
